Building Bridges: Celebrating the History and Future of Engaged Scholarship in DURP

March 18, 2021

This lecture, as part of the Planning at Illinois Lecture Series, brings together current and former faculty and students to discuss the lessons and transformative potential arising from engaged scholarship. Panelists discuss the East St. Louis Action Research Project which was led by former DURP Professor Kenneth Reardon through the 1990s and is widely regarded as a national model in participatory action research. Alumni discuss how their engagement in the project shaped their career trajectories, and current faculty discuss ways the project can inform engaged scholarship in Puerto Rico.

Lecture, which was held on Thursday, March 18, 2021, can be viewed here.
