Carolina Chantrill (MUP '15) first Wetmore Lecture Series speaker for 2021-22

Department of Urban and Regional Planning alumnus Carolina Chantrill (MUP 2015) was the first speaker of the 2021-22 Wetmore Series, on September 16, 2021. Carolina joined virtually from Buenos Aires where she is the lead of the sustainable mobility area for Sustentar Civic Association (Argentina). She is former Province Director of Urbanism in the Province Agency for Social and Urban Integration (OPISU) where she worked coordinating and supervising the work among interdisciplinary teams for the design and implementation of integral interventions in 8 informal settlements of the Greater Buenos Aires area. Carolina led the preparation and negotiation of two loan operations (USD 100 million each) with the World Bank and Inter-American Bank for financing interventions in those settlements. She has gained more than 10 years experience working for the private, public and non-profit sectors including environmental management, pollution remediation, water and sanitation urban systems, solid waste management project, watershed planning and management, urban development projects, neighborhood upgrading, and integration initiatives, urban infrastructure, and urban technology innovation.
