Faculty research considers racial equity in green infrastructure projects

Urban greening projects should consider historical development patterns and past discriminatory practices to avoid exacerbating the unequal distribution of environmental benefits, says urban and regional planning professor Rebecca Walker. She and her fellow researchers made recommendations for a justice-oriented approach to green infrastructure projects in a recent paper.
