Where did you go for undergrad and what did you major in?
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Urban Planning at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
Why did you choose to attend DURP at U of I?
I chose DURP at UIUC for three main reasons. First, it offers a concentration in transportation planning that integrates both technical and policy perspectives, which both aligned with my career goals. Second, the program is a STEM-designated program, it allows me to strengthen my qualitative skills, including data analysis, interpretation, and visualization. Lastly, UIUC has a strong alumni network, many of whom are working in the fields I aspire to enter.
What are your career ambitions?
I aspire to work at a multilateral development bank as an analyst or project analyst in the field of urban development or transportation planning. I hope I can contribute and create a broader, long-term impact to my country and beyond.
